DESCRIPTION
Self-adhesive silicone bandage for treating scars. Mepiform is a thin, inconspicuous and easy-to-use bandage (polyurethane and non-woven material) with a soft silicone layer coating. Use: intended for the treatment of old and new hypertrophic and keloid scars. The bandage is also used for dressing closed wounds, thus preventing the formation of hypertrophic scars and keloids.
USAGE
Open the package and remove the bandage. If necessary, cut the desired shape, taking the bandage at least 1 cm larger than the scar. Make sure the skin where Mepiform is applied is dry. When using a bandage with ointments or creams, apply it so that it covers the area of skin that has been applied the cream. Remove the covering film and apply Mepiform to the scar/wound. Avoid stretching the bandage. Dressing change: optimally should be used 24 hours. It is recommended to remove Mepiform once a day to inspect and wash the skin. The same bandage can be reapplied. Mepiform can be changed every 3-7 days or when its adhesiveness is insufficient. Mepiform is waterproof and can be left in the shower.
