They are intended for the care of hypertrophic and keloid scars to reduce their visibility on the skin and improve their cosmetic appearance. Specially designed for longer scars such as surgical and caesarean section scars.

How does Hansaplast SCAR REDUCER work?
The transparent polyurethane patch is designed to create a semi-sealing barrier to improve scar tissue hydration. In addition, it raises the temperature in the scar tissue, thus activating the skin’s own regeneration process and supporting the changes in the scar.

USAGE

Directions for use: Remove the protective paper from the adhesive side of the patch and apply the patch to clean, dry skin, making sure the scar is completely covered. If the scar cannot be completely covered, several patches can be applied side by side. For smaller scars, the patches can be cut to the desired size. The ideal time to wear the patch is 12-24 hours per day. It is recommended to change the patch daily. Use a new patch for each compress to maintain the product’s function as described. The patch should also be replaced if it becomes dirty or lacks adhesion.
Initiation and duration of treatment: Treatment can be started as soon as the wound is completely closed and healed, and after suture removal in case of surgical intervention. Clinical studies have shown positive results after 8 weeks of continuous use for at least 12 hours a day. The first results are visible after 3-4 weeks. Wearing the patch for more than 8 weeks may further improve the appearance of the scar. Results may vary from person to person and from scar to scar.
Warnings and Precautions : The packaging of this product contains natural rubber (latex) which may cause allergic reactions.
Contraindications:
Do not use:

on open wounds or burns
if you are allergic to the containing material (e.g. polyurethane)

for infants up to 3 years of age to prevent the risk of swallowing and choking
in combination with other local remedies in the same area at the same time.
